Jeevan D'Souza, the founder and managing director of Udupi Syndicate Credit Souharda Co-operative Society, spoke at the event marking the society's second year. Valerian Mendonsa, whose social thinking and vision had been a guiding force for the organization since its inception. D'Souza expressed that Fr. Mendonsa’s passing is an irreplaceable loss, and dedicated the success of the current program to his memory. He also mentioned that prior celebrations included an event with the special children at the Mental Rehabilitation Center in Pambur, and today's event with the children at St. Vincent Pallotti Convent in Udyavara.
As part of the society’s second-year celebration, groceries were distributed to the children at St. Vincent Pallotti Convent in Udyavara. This gesture was part of their ongoing efforts to serve the community, continuing the social initiatives that Fr. Valerian Mendonsa had envisioned.
